+ MORE DJ’s TBClike minded is a collaboration of 3 club promoters who have come together to put on a 4 day event at the site of the ‘garden festival’ (thegardenfestival.eu) in the beautiful coastal village of pretacane near zadar, croatia. the event runs from 14th - 17th August 08′. tickets are £50 for the 4 day event pass, which gets you access to the whole site, including barbarelas club, terrace, beach parties and boat parties, over 4 days and nights. a weekend pass is £50. we have found some cheap flights (www.ryanair.com) leaving from birmingham flying to Trieste (Itay) which is around four hours from Zadar. we also have a girl working on accommodation for us (e mail ‘magnetliverpool@lycosmax.co.uk’ for more details). the temperatures will be soaring in august, but the local currency won’t be burning a hole in your pocket. it’s going to be a great few days of fun in the sun…the more the merrier!!!

Asylum returns once again to the Mint on saturday July 19th. This one off summer soiree also marks the closing of the club as we know it. Following the party, the club will under go an extensive six week refurbishment, opening again the first weekend in September.

To close the club in style we’ve recruited one of asylum’s favorite acts from past shindigs, the Unabombers. Luke & Justin were the brain child behind of the legendary ‘electric chair’ throw downs in Manchester. Following the closure of their party earlier in the year, it only seems fitting they should help close another legacy across the penines in Leeds. Expect the unexpected, beats will flow through genres with everything from house, disco, hip-hop, broken beat, Latin, soul, r&b and techno thrown into the pot… real BASEMENT SOUL MUSIC!!! also not forgetting the ASYLUM rezzies, who always do the business, and will be back on home turf!!!

A big thanks must be said to Val and all the team at mint, they truely have put the club on the map. now, we all look forward to the next chapter, and can’t wait to see you in the new look mint club in September…THE PARTY IS BACK ON!!!!!!
